Job summary

Airswift seeks a Senior Communications Engineer to lead design, delivery and ongoing upkeep of communications infrastructure across offshore and onshore sites in Australia. The role requires deep experience in operational networks, governance, and asset lifecycle management.

You will work with engineering, projects and maintenance teams to ensure compliant, reliable systems that align with business objectives. Travel to WA and Victoria sites is regular.

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronic Engineering or Communications Engineering.
• Eligible for Engineers Australia membership.
• 5–10 years in operational communications and IT infrastructure within energy/oil & gas/mining sectors.
• Proven experience delivering projects from concept through commissioning and handover.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with asset engineers, project managers and stakeholders to understand operational communication needs.
• Provide technical leadership for operational communications across offshore and onshore facilities.
• Lead design, procurement, integration, commissioning and handover of communications projects.
• Collaborate with asset engineers, project managers and operational stakeholders to deliver fit-for-purpose communications solutions.
• Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
