Downer is seeking a Commissioning Lead to support the Urban Utilities program in Brisbane, Australia. You will oversee commissioning across water and wastewater projects, coordinating with client and design teams to ensure timely delivery and compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field; equivalent experience acceptable.
• 5+ years’ experience in commissioning, preferably in the water industry.
• Knowledge of commissioning processes, systems and equipment.
• Strong leadership and communication skills; able to work with cross-functional teams.
• Understanding of safety legislation and WHS compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead the commissioning phase, aligning with schedule and budget.
• Develop and implement commissioning plans and schedules with client teams.
• Contribute to planning and design to ensure value for money and provide input.
• Develop commissioning budgets and monitor time and cost performance.
• Oversee testing and validation of systems per specs and standards.
• Coordinate final handover to operations for a smooth transition.
