Job summary

Downer's Energy and Utilities division seeks an experienced Commercial Manager Delivery to lead the Contracts team on a major water infrastructure program in North Brisbane QLD. You will shape commercial strategy, optimise revenue, manage risk and strengthen stakeholder relationships across the project lifecycle.

You will coach and mentor staff, foster a high-performing culture, and collaborate with clients and internal specialists to deliver strong commercial outcomes.

Qualifications

• Five+ years of commercial management experience.
• Experience in construction, infrastructure or related industries.
• Experience leading complex commercial teams on major projects.
• Knowledge of Australian construction market and standard contract forms.
• Proven contract negotiation with risk awareness.
• Ability to develop and implement commercial strategies to improve revenue and margins.

Responsibilities

• Lead the project Contracts team and provide commercial stewardship across the program.
• Shape and implement commercial strategy to optimise revenue, margin and risk.
• Manage contractual and project risk; oversee governance and reporting.
• Coach and mentor team members to strengthen commercial capability and culture.
