Job summary

Brunel is seeking a senior contracts professional to own risk across tenders and live projects, working with Pre-Contracts, Operations and project teams in managing variations, EOTs and complex claims.

You will lead contract interpretation, negotiation and disputes, provide clear commercial recommendations to executive teams, and contribute to protecting project entitlements in the Australian infrastructure sector.

Qualifications

• Experience leading contract reviews and risk assessment across tenders and projects.
• Proven experience in variations, EOTs, delays and contractual claims.
• Strong negotiation and drafting of construction contracts.
• Experience in disputes, security of payment and adjudication processes.
• Australian admission to the bar preferred; equivalent construction-law depth considered.

Responsibilities

• Lead contract reviews, negotiation and risk assessment across tenders and projects.
• Manage variations, EOTs, delay, disruption, prolongation and other contractual claims.
• Manage contractual disputes, security of payment matters and adjudications.
• Work with project teams to identify risk early and protect contractual entitlement.
• Provide clear commercial recommendations to senior management.
