Qualifications

• Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Electrical preferred, Civil or Mechanical also considered).

• Proven track record managing contractors, consultants, Owners' Engineers, and major project stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of power generation assets, including wind farm civil and electrical infrastructure, meeting safety, schedule, cost and quality targets.
• Oversee commissioning, testing, energisation, completion and handover to internal asset management.
• Interface with contractors, consultants, Owners' Engineers and service providers to manage contracts, variations and delivery issues.
• Establish and maintain governance, risk management and reporting tools for the project.
• Champion health, safety, environmental performance and manage key stakeholder relationships with landowners and communities.

Role Overview

Based in Adelaide, South Australia, this permanent position plays a key role in the successful delivery of a flagship utility-scale renewable energy project (major wind farm) from the final stages of development through construction, commissioning, and handover. Reporting directly to the Project Director and acting on behalf of the owner/developer, the Construction Project Manager will lead a collaborative delivery team to plan, execute, and control project activities ensuring safety, quality, commercial, environmental, and stakeholder objectives are achieved.

Key Accountabilities

• Project Delivery & Execution: Lead the project team in managing the delivery of power generation assets, including wind turbines, civil, and electrical infrastructure, while driving project performance against safety, program, cost, quality, and technical targets.
• Commissioning & Handover: Oversee commissioning, testing, energisation, completion, and seamless handover to the internal asset management team.
• Contractor & Consultant Management: Act as the main interface for contractors, consultants, Owners' Engineers, and network service providers, managing contractual obligations, variations, claims, and delivery issues to achieve best-for-project outcomes.
• Governance & Risk Management: Establish and maintain project registers, reporting tools, and management systems while identifying, assessing, and mitigating project risks.
• HSEQ & Stakeholder Oversight: Champion a strong safety culture, ensure strict compliance with health, safety, environmental, and statutory requirements, and manage key relationships with landowners, communities, and external stakeholders.

Skills and Experience
