Job summary

Allens is seeking a Senior Commercial Manager to lead complex, firm-wide strategic projects and drive commercial performance across priority practice groups. You will advise Practice Group Leaders and Partners, translate market insight into actionable recommendations, and collaborate across Corporate Services in a hybrid 60/40 office/home model.

We value deep FP&A expertise, strong stakeholder influence, and a proactive, coaching leadership style, with CA/CPA or equivalent being desirable.

Qualifications

• Deep commercial finance, FP&A or similar analytical experience.
• Strong commercial acumen and ability to translate financial and market insight into practical advice for senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading strategic projects with solid project management skills.
• Excellent stakeholder management and ability to collaborate with partners and senior leaders.
• Track record of leading, coaching or developing others.

• Lead, mentor and coach team members to build capability and deliver strong outcomes.

You'll be a part of our Commercial Management team, working closely with practice group leaders, partners and senior stakeholders across the firm. The team plays an important role in driving profitable growth, bringing commercial insight, financial discipline and a deep understanding of the firm, industry and market to support strategic decision-making.

As a Senior Commercial Manager, you will:

This is a permanent, full-time opportunity. At Allens we have a hybrid working structure, typically 60% in the office and 40% from home. We would be happy to discuss any other flexible working arrangements that best support you.

About you

You will have:

• Deep commercial finance, FP&A or other analytical experience (transaction services, restructuring etc.), ideally gained in a professional services, legal, consulting or other complex stakeholder environment.
• Strong commercial acumen, analytical capability and the confidence to translate financial and market insight into practical advice for senior stakeholders.
• Experience leading or contributing to strategic projects, with strong project management skills and the ability to bring structure, clarity and momentum to complex initiatives.
• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with partners, practice leaders and Corporate Services teams.
• A track record of leading, coaching or developing others, with the ability to build capability through both direct and indirect leadership.
• A proactive, solutions-focused approach and a desire to learn, grow, collaborate and mentor others.
• CA/CPA or equivalent is desirable.
