AGL Energy is seeking a Senior Commercial Analyst to provide financial management, commercial analysis and insights to support the Credit and Affordability team. You’ll forecast, model and report to drive informed decisions across a portfolio of ~8 billion in annual billings.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in strategic, commercial, finance or analytical roles within large organisations.
• Strong experience in forecasting, budgeting, variance analysis, modelling and scenario planning.
• Ability to manipulate large datasets and translate into insights and recommendations.
• Advanced analytical, problem-solving and presentation skills.
• Strong commercial acumen with ability to influence governance outcomes.
• Proven ability to build trusted relationships across multiple levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide commercial insights and robust assumptions with measurable benefits.
• Improve reporting, analytics and performance visibility using Power BI, SQL and other tools.
• Analyse large datasets to support operational and strategic decisions.
• Support EBIT planning and NBDE management with stakeholders.
• Influence stakeholders with data-driven narratives and recommendations.
• Identify financial risks and opportunities affecting NBDE, collections, affordability and portfolio performance.
