Job summary

Atturra Limited in Perth is seeking a Senior Security Consultant with strong Cloudflare expertise to design, implement and optimise modern web application and API security controls. The role focuses on WAF management, bot protection, API security, threat monitoring and security analytics within a complex enterprise environment.

You will configure Cloudflare protections, review and tune managed WAF rulesets, participate in security analytics, and integrate with SIEM to support monitoring,

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in network application/security with recent Cloudflare expertise.
• Experience with Essential 8 standards is desirable.

What you’ll be doing

We are seeking an experienced Senior Security Consultant with strong Cloudflare expertise to help design, implement, and optimise modern web application and API security controls. This role will focus on WAF management, bot protection, API security, threat monitoring, and security analytics within a complex enterprise environment.

Responsibilities:

• Cloudflare Virtual patching procedures
• Cloudflare controls for externally accessible websites
• Bot Management configuration
• Review, validation and optimisation of Cloudflare Managed WAF Rulesets
• WAF Attack Score (ML-based detection) implementation and tuning.
• API Shield discovery, inventory and schema validation for externally exposed APIs
• Security Analytics and Security Events configuration for monitoring exploitation attempts and control effectiveness
• SIEM integration to support monitoring, reporting and evidence collection.

Working Conditions:

• Predominantly office-based (combination of client site and Atturra offices)
• Permanent full time
• Perth based

What will make you successful in this role?

• 5+ years’ experience in network application/security with recent experience in Cloudflare a MUST.
• Experience/understanding of Essential 8 standards
