Job summary

Vanguard Australia seeks a Senior Manager, Cloud Security Engineering to lead and grow a team focused on customer identity and access management. You will drive strategy, architecture, engineering excellence, and operational resilience across identity platforms while partnering with global stakeholders to deliver secure identity services.

You will define security standards, oversee authentication and authorisation implementations, and guide platform modernisation to protect customer data.

Qualifications

• The ideal candidate will bring 10+ years of technology, cyber security, or identity and access management experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading CIAM strategy, architecture, engineering, and production operations for large-scale services.
• Strong knowledge of customer authentication, authorisation, identity lifecycle, privacy, and risk-based decisions.
• Proven ability to develop leaders, manage complex stakeholder relationships, and translate outcomes into secure capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Leading and developing managers and multidisciplinary engineering teams responsible for CIAM services and operations.
• Defining and executing the security technology roadmap focused on customer identity capabilities.
• Overseeing the design, implementation, integration, and operation of authentication, authorisation, and identity lifecycle solutions.
• Ensuring the secure, reliable, and resilient operation of production identity services.
• Establishing security standards, patterns, and controls to protect identities and data.
