Job summary

Ampersand Ltd in Brisbane is seeking an experienced Cloud Team Lead to manage a growing Managed Services team. You’ll lead Cloud Engineers and Senior Cloud Engineers, act as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues, and drive delivery excellence in a hybrid Brisbane environment.

The role blends hands-on technical work with people leadership, covering AWS and on-prem Microsoft environments, incident management, and continuous improvement of cloud services and standards.

Cloud Team Lead

We’re looking for an experienced Cloud Team Lead to join a growing Managed Services environment in Brisbane.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining people management, technical leadership and Cloud service delivery. You’ll lead a team of Cloud Engineers and Senior Cloud Engineers, whilst acting as the senior technical escalation point for complex issues and major incidents.

We’re looking for someone with:

• Strong Microsoft infrastructure experience, including areas such as Active Directory, virtualisation and hybrid environments
• Previous experience within a Managed Services / MSP environment
• Experience leading and developing technical teams
• Strong experience with incident, escalation and problem management
• A good understanding of SLAs, operational delivery and service quality
• The ability to remain technically involved while also providing effective people leadership
• A continuous improvement mindset and an interest in developing Cloud services and capability
