Job summary

Ambition Recruitment in Sydney seeks an MSP engineer to own end-to-end projects across hybrid and cloud environments. You’ll influence Azure-based designs and implementations, working with a collaborative team led by a manager invested in upskilling.

You’ll engage directly with clients, document work per ITIL, and contribute to security, networking, and modern infrastructure efforts.

Qualifications

• Experience in a Managed Service Provider delivering hybrid and cloud projects.
• Proficient with Azure IaaS and PaaS implementations.
• Strong client-facing communication and solution positioning.
• Proficient in scripting (PowerShell, Python) and IaC tools Terraform/Bicep.

Responsibilities

• Deliver end-to-end projects across Azure, networking, Windows, M365 and security.
• Engage with clients to design practical, fit-for-purpose solutions.
• Maintain documentation in line with ITIL processes.
• Serve as senior technical escalation point when needed.
• Support security and compliance activities across client environments.

Job description

Join a high-performing, agile MSP in Sydney where you'll deliver end-to-end projects, work across hybrid and cloud environments, and have genuine influence over the solutions you design and implement.

This is a role for an engineer who enjoys ownership from initial design through to delivery and wants to continue building depth across Azure, security and modern infrastructure.
You'll be part of a collaborative team led by a manager who is invested in upskilling and developing their team.

Responsibilities include:

• Work across a mix of project delivery, BAU and security & compliance, with the majority of your time focused on project work
• Engage directly with clients to design and deliver practical, fit-for-purpose solutions
• Take ownership of projects end-to-end, maintaining clear documentation in line with ITIL processes
• Design, implement and support solutions across Azure, networking, Windows, M365 and security
• Contribute to security and compliance activities across client environments
• Act as a senior technical escalation point if required

Experience required:

• Proven experience in a Managed Service provider, supporting, designing and developing hybrid and cloud environments
• Experienced in implementing solutions and initiatives in Azure (IaaS and PaaS)
• Able to articulate and position solutions appropriately to clients
• Proficiency in IaC tools (Terraform, Bicep) and scripting (PowerShell, Python)
• Comfortable working to KPIs and billing time against project work
• Solid server and networking background
