Job summary

Transport for NSW invites applications for a permanent Full-Time role within ICT. You will lead the design, automation and optimization of secure, scalable cloud platforms, and drive digital transformation across the organisation.

As a senior Cloud/DevOps professional, you will build IaC pipelines, collaborate with engineering, cybersecurity, and business teams, and mentor staff to ensure high availability and secure cloud environments while delivering business outcomes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience designing and supporting enterprise-scale cloud infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation) and CI/CD automation.
• Experience engaging stakeholders across matrix organisations.
• Hands-on with cloud platforms, scripting languages, and repos.
• Understanding of cloud security and DevSecOps principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, automation, and optimization of secure, scalable cloud platforms.
• Build and manage IaC and CI/CD pipelines for reliable software delivery.
• Partner with engineering, cybersecurity, and business stakeholders to deliver cloud-native solutions.
• Influence stakeholders across a complex matrix environment and align on delivery objectives.
• Champion observability, automation, and DevSecOps practices for performance and security.
• Provide technical leadership and mentoring to keep cloud environments highly available and secure.
