Job summary

Simplified Recruitment is recruiting for a Senior Cloud DevOps Engineer to join a climate technology platform. Fully remote from anywhere in Australia, you’ll own a modern AWS environment and help deliver scalable solutions that matter.

You’ll design infrastructure with Terraform, build robust CI/CD pipelines, and collaborate with engineers to improve deployments, security, and reliability while managing costs and security posture.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in Cloud/DevOps/Platform Eng.
• Strong hands-on AWS experience.
• Proficient with Terraform or similar IaC tools.
• Experience building CI/CD pipelines in production.
• Experience with Docker and container platforms (ECS, EKS, Kubernetes).
• Solid understanding of cloud security, networking, and best practices.
• Comfortable taking ownership and working autonomously.
• Clear communicator across teams.

Responsibilities

• Own and evolve a secure, scalable AWS cloud environment.
• Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform / Infrastructure as Code.
• Build and optimise CI/CD pipelines for speed, reliability, and security.
• Partner with engineers to improve deployments, automation, and developer experience.
• Manage cloud networking, security, and performance (VPC, IAM, CDNs, firewalls).
• Monitor and optimise cloud costs and reliability.
• Support and improve security and compliance practices (ISO 27001, SOC 2).
• Create clear documentation, architecture diagrams, and runbooks.
