Job summary

Brennan is seeking a Cloud Consultant to join the Cloud Practice in Sydney. You will lead delivery of public and hybrid cloud solutions, support the sales team in pre-sales, and provide technical leadership on large transformation projects.

You will partner with vendors like Microsoft and AWS, mentor consultants, and help productise market-ready services while maintaining high delivery standards across complex environments.

Qualifications

• Extensive Azure experience and associated technologies.
• Consultant experience in a system integrator or similar organization delivering cloud or infrastructure solutions.
• Expert level knowledge of Cloud IaaS (Azure VM) and cloud storage (object, disk, file, archive).
• Experience with migration readiness, planning and workload migrations to Azure.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

The Cloud Consultant is a member of the Cloud Practice, leading delivery of Public and Hybrid Cloud solutions into our customer's environments, whilst supporting the sales team through technical pre-sales. They are responsible for providing technical leadership across large and complex cloud transformation projects, at times working across multiple practices to deliver Modern Cloud solutions. This is an initial fixed term 12 month contract with extensions expected.

Role Responsibilities

• Customer engagement in a consultative fashion to determine their business/IT objectives, strategy, and roadmap.
• Working alongside solution sales assisting to develop program / project scopes.
• Deliver cloud focused projects to expected scope, schedule, budget, project control and quality standards - Based on project budgets, PIR's and customer feedback.
• Work with the other practices to plan and deliver services, schedules and resource requirements.
• Provide L4 support for service delivery teams and resolve technical issues.
• Technical solution design and proposal writing.
• Ensure service quality through technical competence and attention to detail.
• Strive for high levels of customer feedback scores.
• Assisting with the development of collateral and RFP responses designed to demonstrate strong Public Cloud expertise.
• Preparation of strategies alongside BDMs & AMs, meeting customers to define a new logo & upsell campaign.
• Working alongside vendors (e.g. Microsoft, AWS) to demonstrate strong Public Cloud expertise.
• Helping to define and productise market required professional and managed services.
• Leadership and mentoring of consultants.
• To review, create and maintain internal documentation and processes to help achieve service delivery efficiencies.
• Any other task/ duties aligned with your role or in support of your team as advised by your leader.

Skills/Experience Required

To succeed in this role, you will have the following experience and competencies.

• Extensive, recent, relevant experience in Azure and associated technologies.
• Extensive experience as a consultant in a system integrator or similar organization delivering public/private/hybrid cloud or infrastructure solutions.
• Demonstrable expert technical skills/understanding and experience of Cloud technologies, particularly with respect to Microsoft Azure and AWS hyperscale clouds.
• Experience in migration readiness assessment, migration planning, and service/workload migration of large/complex environments to Microsoft Azure.
• Experience working with/developing solution/product portfolios.
• Experience developing successful sales solutions and proposals.
• Expert level on Cloud IaaS, i.e. Azure Virtual Machines, as well as Cloud storage, i.e. object, disk, file, archive, and hybrid cloud storage solutions.
• Expertise in Entra ID baseline, Cloud Sync, PIM, Lifecycle Workflows, Conditional Access, AVD identity
• Proficient in the development and maintenance of Azure Resource Manager and/or AWS CloudFormation templates.
• Design and deployment of complex Cloud connectivity solutions incorporating multiple VNet/VPC, peering, ExpressRoute/DirectConnect, Network Virtual Appliances, Load Balancers, Application Gateways.
• Demonstrable skills across IDAM solutions such as Azure Active Directory, IAM, MFA, SSO, B2C, B2C. With expert level knowledge in Active Directory Domain Services.
• Demonstrable skills in Cloud monitoring and governance utilising toolsets such as Azure Monitor, CloudWatch, AWS Organizations, Azure Policy, or Azure Management Groups.
• Expert level core Windows infrastructure skills.
• Experience with on-premises virtualization solutions.
• Strong foundational knowledge of datacentre infrastructure including Storage, Networking, Windows Infrastructure, Linux Infrastructure
