The Role

Having experienced significant growth over the past few years, Brennan's Cybersecurity practice is seeking a talented Senior Technical Consultant to join our Secure Networking team in Canberra.

The Senior Technical Consultant is a technical role that delivers a range of network and cybersecurity services to the market in a project-based delivery methodology. In this role you will be expected to provide thought leadership, guidance, and strategic advice to our customers on networking and cybersecurity matters.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Lead customer workshops to capture requirements for solution development
• Communicate technical solutions and their business benefits to diverse stakeholders
• Conduct comprehensive system discovery and analysis to drive solution development and delivery
• Design and implement end-to-end architectures aligned with appropriate security standards
• Develop documentation artefacts to describe technical solutions, configurations, and procedures
• Execute system changes, upgrades, and implementations
• Advise on industry best practices and governance-compliant solutions

Skills and Qualification you need to be successful in the role:

• Expereince with Wired and Wi-Fi Networking, Next-Generation Firewalls, VPN, SD-WAN and SASE technologies
• NAC and network authentication, Data Centre network virtualisation technologies
• Public cloud platforms (e.g., Azure, AWS, GCP, OCI)
• Security concepts and frameworks (e.g., Essential 8 and ISM initiatives, network segmentation)
• Clear and concise communication of technical concepts to various stakeholders
• NV1 clearance is required for the role
