Job summary

Cue-X, a Canberra-based consultancy, is seeking a Senior Cloud Architect/Engineer to join a government client on a contract starting October 2026 through June 2027, with a possible 12-month extension. The role focuses on designing enterprise cloud platforms using MS Azure and M365, and leading cloud engineering efforts.

Due to the client’s requirements, only Australian citizens will be considered and AGSVA security clearance is highly regarded.

Qualifications

• Experience designing enterprise cloud architectures for Azure and M365.
• Ability to translate requirements into scalable cloud solutions.
• Experience in government or regulated environments is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop enterprise cloud platform architectures for MS Azure and M365.
• Develop high level solution architectures for cloud-based systems.
• Develop detailed architecture guidance for cloud engineers.
• Provide impact analysis of user and stakeholder requirements.
• Ensure solutions adhere to whole-of-government standards.
• Provide technical guidance for design and build of cloud systems.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions aligned with objectives.
• Align architectural decisions with user experience considerations.
• Promote re-use, avoid over-customisation, and support open data access.
• Support platform automation, testing, CI/CD, and deployment.
