Job summary

Open Arms – Veterans & Families Counselling is Australia's leading provider of mental health assessment and clinician counselling services for veterans and their families. The Clinical Program Manager (CPM) supports the Assistant Director by improving the quality, safety and distribution of clinical services across Open Arms.

The CPM provides clinical advice, staff development and supports the clinical leadership team.

Responsibilities

Assist the Assistant Director with hiring and onboarding/offboarding of clinical staff and provide mentoring to staff and address performance health and wellbeing issues.
Apply independent professional judgement, based on evidence, to complex cases and contribute to best practice in mental health services; advise leadership on complex client issues.
Conduct auditing and risk assessments and facilitate both individual and group case reviews.
Train staff on new policies, procedures, and standards; contribute to continuous improvement of clinical services.
Develop professional relationships with internal and external stakeholders and participate in meetings as directed.
Apply expert clinical knowledge to inform team training and professional development; offer clinical supervision as required.
Carry a clinical caseload and provide leadership in the absence of the AD; act as the Assistant Director when required.
