Job summary

JGA Saddler is seeking an experienced Class Actions Commercial Litigation Associate/Senior Associate to join its growing team in Sydney. You will work on complex class actions alongside award-winning directors, developing leadership skills and delivering high-quality advice to clients.

The role requires strong drafting, research, and collaboration, with opportunities to mentor junior lawyers and manage procedural aspects of proceedings across Federal and State Courts.

Qualifications

• Experience in class actions or high-end commercial litigation.
• Ability to work well in a team and to supervise others while also working independently on tasks.
• Strong drafting and communication skills and meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Provide detailed advice to clients.
• Brief counsel and experts.
• Prepare witness statements and finalise expert reports.
• Oversee discovery protocols, handbooks and witness bundles.
• Prepare Court books and supervise compilation of authorities.
• Draft and send correspondence to parties and courts.
• Manage group members and coordinate with the team on matters.
• Research new opportunities and relevant legal principles to support cases.
