Allianz Australia is seeking a Senior Claims Service Consultant to lead complex property claims within a dynamic team. You will oversee a portfolio from validation to finalisation, coach peers, negotiate settlements with brokers, and ensure compliant, timely claims handling.

The role emphasizes stakeholder management, use of claims systems, and applying advanced liability and policy interpretation skills in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience managing complex commercial property claims in general insurance.
• Strong portfolio management to balance priorities and workloads.
• Experience working with brokers, including negotiation of settlements.
• Experience conducting site visits and engaging with customers during loss events.
• Advanced understanding of liability assessment, policy interpretation and claims strategy.
• Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence outcomes across parties.
• Proven coaching and mentoring abilities for colleagues.
• Excellent written and verbal communication adaptable to audiences.
• Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities in complex claims.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality outcomes.
• Proficiency across claims systems, reporting tools and digital technologies.
• Passion for leveraging emerging technologies in a rapidly evolving digital landscape.

Responsibilities

• Follow the AAL Claims Management Process.
• Apply current legislation and make liability decisions at lodgement and throughout the life of the claim.
• Coach less experienced team members to build capability.
• Manage a portfolio of claims from validation to finalisation within PCA authority levels.
• Review claims and authorise payments for others within allocated authority.
• Manage claimant and stakeholder expectations and relationships.
• Tailor communication to suit client interactions.
• Ensure compliance with the General Insurance Code of Practice.
• Provide timely responses and accurate processing of claims.
