Job summary

Marsh is seeking a Senior Claims Consultant to join our workers compensation self-insurance team in Adelaide. This full-time role combines in-office collaboration with flexible hybrid work, three days per week in the office and two at home.

You will guide claims end-to-end, deliver proactive reviews and early interventions, and collaborate with RTW and risk advisers to support timely return to work for clients. Travel to regional locations may be required.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering claims services with a strong return to work focus.
• Exceptional relationship building skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
• Willingness to travel to regional locations as required.
• Understanding or prior experience of self-insurance.

Responsibilities

• Deliver proactive claims liability review, determination and advisory services that enables the early return to work and mitigation of lost time injuries from start to end of claim.
• Implement early intervention and engagement with RTW services.
• Attend and contribute to SA Employment Tribunal matters.
• Participate in medical case conferences with GP’s and specialists, as required.
• Work closely with the Team Leader, Claims Consultants, RTW Consultants and Risk & Safety Advisers.
• Complete various innovative projects to support the Claims and RTW function, as required.
• Undertake all duties in line with the Return to Work Act 2014, Regulations and the Injury Management Standards for Self-Insurers.

You will be the trusted resource that our Members will refer to in guiding them through claims from end to end.
