Job summary

Banana Shire Council in Queensland is seeking a Principal Coordinator Infrastructure Design to lead planning, design, management and delivery of Council's road, bridge and drainage projects, while providing technical leadership across the organisation.

You will manage projects from concept through to completion, oversee consultants, mentor staff and support the Assets and Technical Services team, ensuring programs meet budget, scope and safety standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering and RPEQ registration.
• QLD driver’s licence and White/Blue Card as mandatory.
• Proven leadership and experience in infrastructure planning/design.

Responsibilities

• Provide engineering advice on projects, including plans, calculations, estimates and specs.
• Oversee consultants and manage infrastructure projects to scope, budget and schedule.
• Mentor Technical Services staff and develop improved work practices.
• Prepare funding applications and liaise with stakeholders and authorities.
• Ensure compliance with safety, quality and environmental policies.
