Downer Energy and Utilities is seeking an experienced Principal Civil Engineer to join our growing Power business. This role can be based in Brisbane or Adelaide. You will act as the technical authority for civil engineering, delivering governance and design excellence across complex substation and transmission projects.

You will mentor teams, manage interfaces, and collaborate with clients and subcontractors to ensure high-quality civil design solutions and support Australia’s energy transition.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Civil Engineering is required.
• Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) and/or registered professional engineer preferred.
• 15+ years of project delivery experience in the power industry.

Responsabilités

• Act as technical authority for civil engineering activities.
• Provide governance, assurance and design excellence across projects.
• Mentor engineering teams and manage multidisciplinary interfaces.
• Collaborate with clients, project teams and subcontractors to deliver civil design solutions.
