Job summary

Downer's Energy & Utilities in Melbourne seeks a Senior Design Manager to lead multidisciplinary design delivery across transmission, substation, renewable energy and storage projects.

You will oversee design from tender development to construction support and handover, coordinating interfaces with clients and partners. A minimum of ten years in power delivery and strong EPC/D&C experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Ten+ years in power transmission and substations.
• Experience leading design delivery across HV transmission lines and substations.
• Experience with EPC and design-and-construct delivery models.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and coordination of multidisciplinary design teams across systems and disciplines.
• Develop design management plans, delivery strategies, budgets and schedules.
• Manage consultants, subcontractors and delivery partners.
• Lead design reviews and verification processes.
• Maintain configuration control and technical governance; mitigate risks.
