Job summary

Department of Transport and Main Roads QLD – Bundaberg QLD is seeking an experienced engineering professional to plan, coordinate and manage the Wide Bay Burnett District's program of transport infrastructure projects, ensuring timely delivery within cost, quality and service standards.

The role requires leading a multidisciplinary planning team, delivering submissions, liaising with stakeholders and providing expert management across project delivery phases, in a dynamic government environment.

Qualifications

• A four-year, Washington Accord accredited Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or equivalence.
• Registration as a Registered Professional Engineer of Queensland (RPEQ).
• C Class driver's licence.
• Criminal history check required prior to appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the district's planning program and project planning team to meet time, cost and quality targets.
• Prepare submissions and reports on planning and technical issues, and engage stakeholders to overcome obstacles.
• Provide specialist advisory support to senior management on planning matters and present technical information as required.
• Engage consultants and manage procurement to deliver project requirements and ensure compliance with standards.
