Job summary

PCR Talent represents a national engineering consultancy seeking a Senior Civil Engineer in Canberra to progress to Associate within 12-18 months. You will lead design across urban development projects and mentor junior engineers while strengthening client relationships.

The role requires 6-8+ years in Australian consultancies, with strong expertise in greenfield subdivisions, roads, stormwater and earthworks; familiarity with 12D, MUSIC or DRAINS is preferred.

Qualifications

• 6-8+ years of civil engineering experience within an Australian engineering consultancy.
• Strong experience in greenfield subdivisions, land development and urban development.
• Experience with 12D, MUSIC and DRAINS, or comparable civil engineering design software.
• Solid technical understanding of road design, stormwater drainage, earthworks and subdivision infrastructure.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects and coordinate engineering teams.
• Confidence dealing directly with clients, developers and approval authorities.
• Strong interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in mentoring and developing others.
• The ambition to progress into an Associate-level leadership position.

Responsibilities

• Managing civil engineering design and delivery across residential subdivisions and urban development projects.
• Leading projects involving roads, drainage, earthworks, stormwater and associated civil infrastructure.
• Coordinating design teams and mentoring developing engineers and designers.
• Managing project programmes, resources, documentation and deliverables.
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with developers, clients, councils and relevant authorities.
• Providing technical guidance and ensuring projects are delivered to a high professional standard.
• Contributing to a positive, collaborative and successful team environment.
