Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join the Community Development team in Cairns. The role covers project design and delivery across land development and urban infrastructure projects, from concept to construction documentation in a permanent full-time position.

The successful candidate will have experience in urban and land development within civil engineering consultancy, with opportunities for professional growth and a rewarding career path.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated civil designer experience in land, urban and subdivisions.
• Demonstrated experience ideally using 12D software.
• Familiarity with local authority and state government approval and regulatory requirements.
• Commitment to self-improvement and continuing professional development.

Responsibilities

• Prepare conceptual and detailed designs using 12D for land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer and water systems.
• Interpret civil design requirements of State Government, Local Government Authorities and private sector clients.
• Interface with related disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscaping.
• Interact with clients regarding project needs.
