Job summary

Stantec in Maroochydore is seeking a Senior Civil Designer | Team Leader to join our Community Development Civil team on a full-time basis. The role covers a range of urban development and land subdivision projects, from concept design through to construction documentation.

The successful candidate will lead a multi-disciplinary design team, coordinate with regional teams, and ensure projects meet client expectations while adhering to Australian standards.

Qualifications

• Good technical design background covering bulk earthworks, roadworks, stormwater, sewer and water networks per Australian Standards.
• Experience with design/documentation platforms including 12D and AutoCAD.
• Stormwater management experience desirable.
• Understanding of local Authority application processes.
• Growing experience in managing teams and delivering projects.

Responsibilities

• Technical design and documentation using 12D and AutoCAD as primary tools.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineers, designers and drafters.
• Lead project designs according to experience and complexity.
• Participate in client and consultant meetings.
• Support Group Leader with monitoring and reporting of the team.
• Coordinate across regions to drive collaboration and work sharing.
• Ensure projects are planned and managed to meet client expectations.
• Develop requirements with Practice Leaders and Team Leaders locally and across offices.
• Foster training and mentoring to build the team’s skills.
• Maintain professional standards and quality procedures.
