Job summary

Stantec is seeking a Senior Civil Designer to join our Community Development team in Cairns, Australia, on a permanent full-time basis. The role involves delivering concept to construction documentation across urban development and land subdivision projects, interfacing with multiple disciplines, and liaising with clients to determine project needs.

Responsibilities

• Preparing conceptual and detailed designs using 12D (land subdivisions, road infrastructure, drainage, sewer & water systems as well as associated infrastructure)
• Interpret civil design requirements of State Government, Local Government Authorities and private sector clients
• Interface with associated disciplines such as transport, planning, survey, traffic, electrical and landscaping
• Interact with clients regarding project needs

Description

We have an opportunity for a Senior Civil Designer to join our Community Development team in Cairns in a permanent full-time position.

Stantec are currently delivering a variety of commercial, land development, urban infrastructure projects. This role includes project design and delivery across a range of projects and within land subdivision sector. Projects range from early concept design and master planning through to detailed design and construction documentation.

The role would suit someone with mainly urban and land development experience from civil engineering consultancy. The successful candidate will be provided with an opportunity to develop professionally and personally and provided with an opportunity to forge a rewarding career path in a successful consultancy working on well-known projects.

The role
