Job summary

Pamecs is seeking a civil engineer to deliver design solutions across land development projects from concept through to construction in Melbourne, Australia. You will lead the preparation of designs, coordinate with stakeholders and mentor junior team members.

Key responsibilities include designing roads, drainage, earthworks, and infrastructure, managing project deliverables and budgets, and supporting business development within a collaborative consultancy environment.

Qualifications

• Significant experience in civil engineering design, particularly within land development projects.
• Proven experience delivering subdivision and civil infrastructure designs.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD Civil 3D/12D and related design software.
• Sound understanding of Victorian council standards and statutory approval processes.
• Experience in drainage design and stormwater management.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Relevant tertiary qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered status or progress towards chartership.
• Experience working within consulting engineering environments.

Responsibilities

• Preparation and coordination of civil engineering designs for land development projects
• Design of roads, drainage, earthworks, sewer and water infrastructure
• Preparation of functional and detailed design drawings
• Stormwater management and drainage modelling
• Liaison with clients, councils, authorities and other project stakeholders
• Management of project deliverables, budgets and timelines
• Providing technical guidance and mentoring to junior team members
• Assisting with business development and client relationship management
