Job summary

Peabody Energy seeks a CHPP Mechanical Coordinator for the Centurion underground mine, located 160 kilometres west of Mackay. Reporting to the CHPP Manager, you will oversee mechanical maintenance and engineering projects at the CHPP site.

Responsibilities include supervising contractors, staging work orders, and driving plant reliability while ensuring safety and budget compliance; the role offers a 9-day fortnight roster and potential Moranbah residential options.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a CHPP environment.
• Strong knowledge of coal processing and CHPP drivers.
• Trade or engineering background highly regarded.
• S1, S2, S3 & G2 qualifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate contractors for maintenance days and major shutdowns.
• Scope, schedule, execute and report on work orders to ensure schedules are met.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to achieve plant reliability and compliance.
• Provide leadership to CHPP Technicians and promote safety.
• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities.
