Job summary

Peabody Energy seeks a CHPP Mechanical Coordinator for our Centurion underground mine located about 160 kilometres west of Mackay. You will report to the CHPP Manager and lead mechanical maintenance and engineering projects at Centurion CHPP, ensuring safety, reliability and budget compliance.

The role requires supervising contractors, scheduling work orders, and liaising with stakeholders to achieve plant performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience in a similar CHPP role.
• Strong knowledge of coal processing and CHPP drivers.
• Trade or engineering background highly regarded and relevant qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate contractors for maintenance days and major shutdowns.
• Scope, schedule, execute and report on work orders to meet schedules.
• Work with stakeholders to improve plant reliability, availability and compliance.
• Demonstrate safe behaviours and provide leadership to CHPP Technicians.
• Ensure safety standards and operating cost budget compliance for CHPP maintenance.
• Identify and implement Continuous Improvement opportunities.
