Job summary

Johnson Controls is seeking an experienced Chiller Technician to join the Service Team in Australia, offering autonomy, technical challenges, and leadership development across diverse projects.

Role focuses on maintaining and commissioning chillers and HVAC systems, with a strong emphasis on diagnostics, reporting, and customer liaison. Requires 4+ years in HVAC or industrial cooling and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 4+ years’ experience as a technician in HVAC or industrial cooling.
• Strong background in maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting.
• Mechanical and/or electrical expertise within HVAC.
• Ability to read schematics and produce clear reports.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).
• Current driver’s license.
• Ability to pass pre-employment medical and background checks.

Responsibilities

• Respond to system breakdowns and perform scheduled preventive maintenance.
• Commission Chillers/HVAC equipment on customer sites.
• Troubleshoot and resolve system issues.
• Overhaul and fault-find across reciprocating, screw, and centrifugal systems.
• Document and report equipment results accurately.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Provide training and operational advice to customers.
