Job summary

Families, Seniors, Disability Services and Child Safety – Ripley QLD is recruiting a Senior Practitioner to provide expert advice, supervision and oversight for child protection services, ensuring high standards in assessment, intervention and case management.

You will supervise staff, develop systems, and collaborate with service centre leadership to improve practice, align with legislation, and promote quality outcomes for children, families and communities.

Qualifications

• Degree in accordance with Qualification Requirements.
• Must hold a blue card administered by the Queensland Public Safety Business Agency.
• Must hold a C class driver's licence.

Responsibilities

• Provide specialist advice, guidance and oversight to ensure child protection services meet high standards and align with legislation and practice guidelines.
• Provide practice supervision, both individually and in groups, to Child Safety Officers and Senior Child Safety Officers.
• Maintain and improve services in accordance with departmental policies and the Framework for Practice.
• Establish and maintain relationships with Senior Team Leaders and staff to build capability in investigation, assessment and complex case management.
• Facilitate group practice development and supervision sessions to enhance capability within the Service Centre.
• Support region-wide staff on complex matters within the area of specialist knowledge.
