Job summary

Aurecon Group is seeking a Senior CFD Engineer to lead CFD studies and provide practical design guidance. You will work on building performance, ventilation and infrastructure projects across Australia and potentially New Zealand, applying advanced modelling with strong consulting judgment.

You will communicate results clearly, mentor junior engineers and help grow Aurecon's national CFD capability, contributing to projects and client outcomes with a collaborative approach.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or closely related field.
• Proven CFD experience with consulting style delivery.
• Experience using ANSYS CFX and/or Fluent on building performance problems.
• Track record delivering actionable client recommendations.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Lead CFD studies from problem definition to reporting and client advice.
• Use ANSYS Fluent/CFX to analyze airflow and thermal performance.
• Contribute to data centre and building-performance projects across AU/NZ.
• Define CFD approach with clients and translate results into design recommendations.
• Prepare clear reports and presentations communicating methodology and findings.
• Manage CFD scopes and deliverables while ensuring quality and schedule.
• Lead discussions with clients and stakeholders and mentor junior engineers.
• Support capability growth and CFD process improvements across the business.
