Job summary

Ceramic Artisans, a boutique dental laboratory in Chatswood, NSW, is seeking a Senior Ceramist for a full-time role. You will produce high-end aesthetic restorations, collaborate with clinicians, and contribute to advanced digital workflows including milling, printing, and scanning.

The role demands extensive ceramist experience, strong aesthetic judgment, and the ability to lead complex cases from concept to completion in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience as a dental ceramist with a strong portfolio of aesthetic work.
• Advanced knowledge of ceramic layering techniques and aesthetic principles.
• Ability to work across substrates including Emax, Zirconia, PFM, veneers and implant restorations.

Responsibilities

• Produce high-end aesthetic ceramic restorations, including crowns, veneers, implant restorations, and complex cases.
• Advanced layering of ceramic materials across substrates including Emax, Zirconia, PFM, veneers, and implant restorations.
• Finishing, staining, glazing, and characterisation of monolithic and layered restorations.
• Manage complex cases from design through to final finishing, ensuring exceptional aesthetic and functional outcomes.
• Review and maintain quality control standards across laboratory production.
• Collaborate with dentists and clinical teams regarding treatment planning, case design, and technical requirements.
• Provide guidance and support to junior technicians, sharing knowledge and helping develop technical skills.
• Contribute to improving laboratory workflows, processes, and overall quality standards.
