Job summary

Airswift is seeking a Principal Subsea Systems Engineer for a Perth-based 12-month contract in the oil & gas offshore sector. The role focuses on technical leadership of subsea production systems, with strong emphasis on integration across trees, manifolds, controls, and SURF infrastructure.

You will guide FEED through commissioning, manage multidisciplinary interfaces, and mentor teams while driving risk management and safety reviews across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical, Offshore, Ocean, Subsea or related engineering.
• Extensive offshore oil & gas and subsea experience.
• Strong system integration and risk management skills.
• Experience with FEED, detailed design, installation and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Lead subsea production systems and interfaces.
• Coordinate with wells, SURF, and facilities.
• Support FEED to commissioning activities.
• Manage multidisciplinary interfaces and project teams.
• Contribute to risk assessments and design reviews.
• Review engineering deliverables and vendor submissions.
• Identify and manage technical risks and opportunities.
• Support procurement and contractor management.
• Mentor project and engineering staff.
