Job summary

Danone ANZ is seeking an experienced ANZ Lead Category Manager for Raw Materials & Packaging, based in Sydney or Melbourne. You will lead sourcing strategies, safeguard supply, and drive value through strong supplier partnerships.

This high-impact role includes leading three direct reports, negotiating contracts, and guiding innovation, productivity, and third-party manufacturing projects. You’ll leverage Excel, SAP, Asana and Power BI to translate global strategies into local execution and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business.
• At least 3 years’ experience in direct procurement.
• Strong negotiation, relationship management and communication skills.
• Solid project management, planning and organisational capability.
• Travel occasionally to New Zealand and other parts of Australia.

Responsibilities

• Lead local sourcing strategies for ingredients and packaging, aligned with global and regional direction.
• Safeguard continuity of supply through secure sourcing, dual sourcing and effective risk mitigation.
• Negotiate contracts and pricing for dairy ingredients and liquid milk, driving value and policy compliance.
• Manage supplier performance, relationships, quality actions and contractual obligations.
• Lead the sourcing workstream for innovation, renovation, productivity and third-party manufacturing projects.
• Provide market intelligence and price forecasts to support rolling forecasts and annual planning.
• Lead and develop three direct reports, setting clear priorities and enabling strong category and supplier management.
