Job summary

Danone ANZ is seeking an experienced Lead Category Manager for Raw Materials & Packaging. Based in Sydney or Melbourne, you will lead sourcing strategies, manage a team of buyers and drive resilient supplier partnerships across ANZ plants.

You will translate global strategies into local execution, negotiate contracts, monitor supplier performance and guide innovation projects to strengthen supply, value and productivity. A senior, impact-led role within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Procurement, Supply Chain or Business required.
At least 3 years’ experience in direct procurement.
Strong negotiation, relationship management and communication skills.
Solid project management, planning and organisational capability.
Intermediate Excel skills; working knowledge of SAP, Asana and AI assistants preferred.
Experience with Power BI is an advantage.
Travel occasionally to New Zealand and other parts of Australia.

Responsibilities

Lead local sourcing strategies for ingredients and packaging aligned with global/ regional direction.
Safeguard continuity of supply through secure sourcing and risk mitigation.
Negotiate contracts and pricing for dairy ingredients and packaging.
Manage supplier performance, relationships, quality actions and obligations.
Lead sourcing workstreams for innovation, renovation, productivity and 3rd party manufacturing.
Provide market intelligence and price forecasts for rolling forecasts and annual planning.
Lead and develop three direct reports with clear priorities.
