Job summary

Amazon Australia is seeking a commercially driven Vendor Manager to own end-to-end vendor relationships across one or more categories in Sydney. You will lead sourcing, range selection, negotiations and performance management, partnering with cross‑functional teams to deliver value for customers.

You will shape a new category from day one, own the category P&L, and work with senior stakeholders to define how this growth area operates in Australia.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, or 3+ years of professional or military experience.
• 3+ years of retail, operations, product or program management, or business management/consulting with negotiations and delivering results experience.
• Experience with financial analysis and P&L ownership.

Responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end vendor relationships across one or more categories, including sourcing, range selection, commercial negotiations, contract management, and ongoing performance management.
• Build and manage a high‑quality supplier base, identifying and onboarding vendors that meet Amazon's standards.
• Negotiate trading terms, pricing, promotional programmes, and supply agreements that deliver strong customer value and meet financial targets.
• Partner with cross‑functional teams to resolve supply constraints and deliver outcomes that benefit customers.
• Analyse category and vendor performance data to identify opportunities and improve commercial health.
• Represent Amazon externally as a credible and trusted commercial partner, building long-term supplier relationships that support the growth of the business.
