Job summary

CatholicCare NT in Darwin region is seeking a Case Worker to support individuals and families facing financial hardship. The role focuses on financial literacy, coaching and resilience to improve financial wellbeing, working with clients and stakeholders to remove barriers.

Based in Wurrumiyanga, NT, the role offers above award pay (Grade 4), relocation assistance up to $3,000 and subsidised accommodation, plus generous leave and benefits. Independence and cultural sensitivity are essential.

Qualifications

• Qualifications in Financial Planning, Social Work or Welfare or equivalent experience
• Experience in case management within vulnerable communities
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with vulnerable people
• Experience living/working in remote communities and knowledge of community development
• Cultural competency with Indigenous communities

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals, families and communities with financial hardship to meet program objectives
• Address issues in financial literacy and wellbeing; provide information, coaching and guidance
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to remove obstacles to financial wellbeing and capability
