Job summary

Gallagher Bassett is seeking an experienced Case Manager to join our team in Australia. You will manage a portfolio of rehabilitation claims, coordinating with employers, injured workers, and professionals to drive positive return-to-work outcomes.

The role emphasizes empathy, collaboration, and a customer-focused approach, with opportunities to coach colleagues and contribute to a supportive, hybrid work culture. A tertiary Allied Health background is desirable.

Qualifications

  • Experience in case management within a Workers' Compensation setting.
  • Customer-focused with the ability to build trust and rapport.
  • Team player who can coach and mentor others.
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills.
  • Strong communication across all levels of the organisation.
  • Tertiary Allied Health qualifications desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Advise and provide case management support across a broad rehabilitation claim portfolio.
  • Engage with employers, injured workers, rehab professionals, and providers to achieve outcomes.
  • Support mental health, rehab, and RTW hubs as part of end-to-end claims management.
  • Contribute to successful return-to-work outcomes and the life cycle of claims.
  • Coach and mentor other case managers within the team.

How You'll Make An Impact
What you’ll be doing:
  • Advising and providing case management support across a range of rehabilitation cases (around 40 claim portfolio) at various stages of their return to work journey;
  • Engaging with insured employers, injured employees, rehabilitation professionals, medical practitioners and legal providers in order to achieve the best possible outcomes for all parties;
  • Supporting the physical and psychological needs of our injured workers through the provision of services within our additional mental health, technical and rehabilitation support hubs;
  • Contributing to excellent return to work outcomes and lead the end-to-end claims management life cycle;
  • Coaching and mentoring case managers and collaborating with our additional Mental Health, Recovery and RTW, and Technical support hubs.
About You
About you:
  • You’ll have previous experience in case management within a Workers Compensation setting.
  • A customer focused approach with the ability to build trust and rapport and can demonstrate a true passion to help people.
  • A team player who enjoys collaboration with the ability to coach and mentor others.
  • Exceptional time management and organisational skills;
  • Highly developed communication skills, with the ability to engage at all levels of organisation;
  • Tertiary qualifications or experience in Allied Health or qualifications in injury rehabilitation desirable
  • would be highly regarded, but not mandatory
