Job summary

The Reserve Bank of Australia is seeking a Knowledge Management and Training specialist to support the Payments Operations Program. You will work with the Project Manager and Senior SME to develop and rollout new knowledge content and training materials, coordinate meetings, and track progress within a multi-disciplinary team that includes IT and operations.

• Unique opportunity to join the RBA's Payments Operations Program, which is strengthening Australia's national payments infrastructure and other critical IT and business system.

About the business/role/team

This is a unique opportunity for you to join the Reserve Bank’s Payments Operations Program, which is leading the Bank's work to strengthen its operation of RITS, Australia's real-time gross settlement system, and other critical national payments infrastructure. These payments systems move around $300 billion dollars between financial institutions each day and ultimately settle all non-cash payments in Australia. They are essential for supporting the day-to-day business of the Australian economy.

The role will report to the Manager of the Knowledge Management and Training Workstream and will be working with other members of the team, RBA stakeholders and external providers to support the development and rollout of new knowledge management and training arrangements and content.

The Payments Operations Program is a large, business led program which is working to: uplift the operating model and resourcing for the RITS ecosystem; strengthen shared services processes and IT controls that support RITS and related systems; and improve knowledge management processes and systems and related training programs for staff supporting RITS.

About the role

• Work closely with the Project Manager (KM & Training) and the Senior Business SME to support delivery of the Knowledge Management and Training workstream
• Help co-ordinate the build of new knowledge content and training material, including arranging meetings/workshops, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, tracking progress and generating status reports.
• The role will work closely with the broader POP team, external professional services firms and relevant staff in Payments Settlements and IT.
• You will also enjoy working and collaborating with multiple high performing teams committed to team goals and deliverables

• Strong communication and writing skills with proven stakeholder engagement experience
• Experience at prioritising and working in a deadline-oriented environment
• Strong team player with ability to work with multiple collaborative teams is essential
