Job summary

National Australia Bank (NAB) is seeking a Senior Business Banking Manager to lead a Perth CBD portfolio of established and growing businesses. You will leverage relationship management and credit expertise to deliver tailored solutions and drive customer growth within a supportive team culture focused on development.

You will work with the Complex Lending Solutions and Deal Structuring teams, shaping lending proposals, owning portfolio outcomes and contributing to NAB's customer-obsessed

Qualifications

• Substantial experience in business banking and/or relationship management within a financial institution.
• Broad knowledge of banking products and services, including transactional and e-commerce solutions.
• Ability to provide technical advice and guidance to customers and other banking departments regarding debt products and deal structuring.
• Strong operating rhythm and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop, lead and execute business development strategy for existing and new-to-bank customers.
• Collaborate with Complex Lending Solutions and Deal Structuring & Execution teams to prepare lending proposals and manage portfolio performance.
• Initiate solutions to stimulate customer growth in the local market and implement annual business plans for the complex portfolio.
• Support delivery of local area performance across customer advocacy, financial metrics and employee engagement.

In the role of Senior Business Banking Manager, you will join the Business Banking team in Perth CBD, as we strengthen our focus on customer obsession and winning together.

You’ll make an impact each day by:

• Develop, lead and execute business development strategy, for both existing and new to bank customers.
• Working with the Complex Lending Solutions and Deal Structuring & Execution teams in the preparation of business lending proposals, including obtaining and analysing business and industry information, and ongoing portfolio management.
• Initiating solutions to stimulate customer growth in the local market and implement yearly business plans for your complex portfolio.
• Supporting the delivery of the local area’s performance as measured through customer advocacy, financial metrics and employee engagement.

You’ll bring to this role:

• Substantial experience in business banking and/ or relationship management within a financial institution.
• Strong capability in building both personal and enterprise brands in internal and external markets.
• A broad knowledge of banking products and services, including transactional and e-commerce solutions.
• Proven ability to collaborate widely across various business units to obtain the best outcome for our customers.
• The ability to provide technical advice and guidance to customers and other banking departments regarding debt products and deal structuring.
• A strong operating rhythm.
• Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
