Job summary

BTP Australia Pty Ltd is expanding its Finance (Digital) Transformation practice and seeks a seasoned Senior Technical Business Analyst to lead customer automation engagements from discovery to implementation. You will guide clients through process discovery, design and delivery, ensuring value delivery and stakeholder alignment in a dynamic consulting environment in Melbourne.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in industry with 5+ years in finance operations or digital transformation.
• Experience leading finance transformation and automation engagements.
• Strong advisory skills to CFOs and stakeholders.
• Hands-on with automation tooling and process reengineering.
• Experience with BPMN and process design specifications.
• Excellent communication and problem solving.

Responsibilities

We are now seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Business Analyst - Finance Transformation / Automation to join our dynamic team.

About the role

We are expanding our Finance (Digital) Transformation practice and would like to hear from technical consulting professionals who can provide functional leadership of our customer automation engagements.

The successful candidate/s will act as trusted advisor to clients embarking on the Finance Transformation / Automation journey. The role is customer facing and will be responsible for leading engagements from Process Discovery, Design through to Implementation. The role will identify opportunities for cost takeout, capacity uplift and other potential benefits.

This role is pivotal to the success of the customers automation journey. You will need to be a clear thinker, articulate, strong in analysis and with a depth of experience to know what Intelligent Automation (and process reengineering) can bring to the customer.

Responsibilities

The role will focus on the following areas:

• Lead the Process Discovery on client engagements for Intelligent automation - including identification of automation candidates, process analysis and reengineering and prepare business case
• Presentation of Discovery findings and recommendations to C-Level stakeholders.
• Demonstrate clear and articulate written and verbal communication
• Manage multiple deliverables and client work streams
• Develop Process Design Specifications for automation - capturing As-Is, To-Be.
• Ability to work with the development team to identify low level solution details, guiding technical staff to finalise a workable solution design through to final outcome.
• Process modelling and analysis, identifying bottlenecks and business improvement opportunities.
• Operate as trusted adviser to our customers and building long term client relationship.
• Support QA and testing - developing Test Plans, Test cases.
• Working with customers to align on delivery lifecycle and methods.
• Analyse business challenges and develop technical high impact solutions.
• Project management of design, discovery, design, estimating and ongoing delivery when required.

Skills and Experience

To be successful in the role, you will have skills and experience in the some of the areas listed below:

• Ideally 10+ years of industry experience including 5+ years across finance operations, supply chain, logistics and distribution.
• Deep demonstrable knowledge of finance processes and systems (AP, AR, FP&A etc) and ERP systems (highly desirable).
• Strong consulting experience - either internal or external, working closely with CFO’s and other business personas to build trust with demonstrable domain leadership, stakeholder management and delivery outcomes
• Strong knowledge of solutioning using a portfolio of intelligent automation capabilities - the concepts, capabilities and ideally hands on experience with RPA, BPM, Intelligent Document Processing and reporting tools.
• A proven ability to lead, guide and mentor technical team members, both onshore and offshore through the Design and Implementation phase.
• Strong problem-solving and analysis skills.
• Competent in the use of BPMN process analysis tools (eg Signavio, Blueworks, Promapp) to capture as-is and reengineer to-be processes.
• Hands on with PowerBI or equivalent business analytics and reporting tools
• Strong project management and delivery skills across Agile and Waterfall (highly regarded)

Qualifications required.

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Business/Commerce or equivalent
• Certifications in relevant automation products
• Qualification in business improvement methods, e.g. Lean six sigma and / or another equivalent
• Certified in Flokzu BPM
• Qualifications in scrum and agile practices
