Job summary

Aurec is seeking an experienced Senior Business Analyst to lead a high-impact digital transformation within a Federal Government agency in Canberra. You will drive end-to-end redesign of a core enterprise system, bridging policy, technical and operational teams to uplift BA capability and deliver modernised public sector processes.

Responsibilities

• Lead Discovery & Elicitation: facilitate workshops, interviews and sessions across divisions to capture complex requirements.
• Deliver Agile Artefacts: translate business and policy rules into user stories, journeys, maps, use cases and acceptance criteria.
• Drive Process Optimisation: perform current/future-state analysis to identify opportunities for automation and standardisation.
• Bridge Business & Technical Architecture: collaborate with architects and dev teams to ensure feasible, high-value delivery.
• Project Delivery & Governance: create project docs, schedules, resource plans and risk reporting for governance boards.
• Capability Uplift & Mentorship: promote best-practice BA methods and mentor peers for continuous improvement.
