Job summary

Nisus Australia is seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support a large-scale reform program in Canberra. The role focuses on uplifting regulatory capability through design, development and implementation of new processes, resourcing, tools, systems and technology.

Essential candidates will have 5+ years as a Business Analyst, strong documentation and the ability to write user stories in Agile, plus excellent communication across business and technical teams.

Qualifications

We are looking for an experienced Business Analyst to backfill an existing role with our Australian Federal Government client, working on a large-scale, multi-year reform program focused on uplifting the client’s regulatory capability through the design, development and implementation of new processes, resourcing, tools, systems and technology.

Essential Skills and Experience:

• 5+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst
• Demonstrated excellence in business writing and documentation, such as analysis and documentation of current and future business processes.
• Skilled in writing, refining, and managing user stories and acceptance criteria in Agile frameworks such as Scrum or SAFe.
• Ensure solutions meet regulatory, legislative, and industry standards, providing business assurance throughout the transformation process.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate technical issues to non-technical users
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate between business and technical terminology
• Experienced in delivering high-quality outcomes within demanding timeline
• Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a collaborative, highly motivated team, to deliver in a project and program environment
• Proven ability to identify and plan capability maturity improvements and business process improvements
• Proven ability to communicate with influence, negotiate outcomes and manage complex stakeholder relationships
• Experience in and desire to mentor and upskill less experienced team members
• Demonstrated personal integrity whilst achieving results within legislative and policy parameters

Desirable Skills and Experience:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications or requisite experience
• Knowledge of system integration with the ability to analyse which systems can be brought together and work together
