Job summary

Hollard Insurance is seeking a Senior Business Analyst for a 12-month max-term contract in Sydney with hybrid flexibility. You will own end-to-end BA activities for the Reporting workstream, collaborating with Claims, Operations, Compliance, Risk and Technology to deliver regulatory reporting solutions.

The role requires strong experience in delivering complex projects in Agile and Waterfall, with a focus on regulatory reporting and data lineage.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering across complex, end-to-end projects in Agile and Waterfall environments.
• Experience in financial services, insurance, or APRA-regulated environments is preferred.
• Strong data literacy: identify, interrogate and map data sources, assess data quality and lineage.
• Ability to design and develop reporting mockups, prototypes and dashboards.

Your Team

You will be part of a multi-disciplinary Technology team, working closely with business, software vendors and partners to develop, implement and maintain systems that support customers through all aspects of the insurance value chain.

Your Role

Reporting to the BA & CM Practice Manager, you will own the end-to-end BA activities for the Reporting workstream — from requirements through to evidence.

Your duties and responsibilities

Gather, document, and manage end-to-end reporting requirements across operational and regulatory reporting streams, engaging Claims, Operations, Compliance, Risk, and Technology stakeholders to ensure requirements are complete, accurate, and traceable

Conduct impact assessments to understand the full scope of reporting changes required across affected systems, processes, and data sources

Design and develop mockups and prototypes of proposed reporting solutions including dashboards, regulatory returns, and evidence packs for validation with business stakeholders, Compliance, and Risk

Build trusted advisory relationships with stakeholders across all seniority levels

Actively participate in the BA & CM Community of Practice for continuous improvement and innovation initiative

About You

Demonstrated experience in delivery capability across complex, end-to-end projects in Agile and Waterfall environments

Experience in financial services, insurance, or APRA-regulated environments is preferred

Strong data literacy skills and to identify, interrogate, and map data sources, assess data quality, and understand data lineage across operational and claims systems

Good experience designing and developing reporting mockups, prototypes, and dashboard specifications

Experience translating regulatory obligations (ASIC, CGC, ICA Code) into reporting and data requirements, evidence pack development, and must have worked closely with Compliance and Risk stakeholders to ensure requirements documentation reflects obligations accurately

Good understanding of end to end claims handling operations from first notification of loss through to settlement and closure is preferred
