Job summary

pitt&sherry Building Surveying in Melbourne is seeking an experienced Building Surveyor to join our Victorian team, helping clients achieve safe and compliant buildings. Permanent and fixed-term contracts are available.

You will manage commercial projects, perform regulatory assessments, and prepare essential permits and certificates while collaborating with clients and stakeholders across all project stages. Flexible working options are available, with a focus on quality and integrity.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Surveying.
• Experience on medium to large commercial developments.
• Preferably Victoria licence as Building Surveyor Unlimited, or Building Surveyor Limited with experience in larger scale projects; must demonstrate ability to become licensed.
• Ideally 5+ years in a similar role.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple commercial projects from start to finish.
• Carry out regulatory and compliance assessments across all project stages.
• Assess documentation against the NCC, Building Act, Building Regulations and standards.
• Prepare and facilitate building permits, occupancy permits, certificates and related documentation.
• Attend site inspections and provide technical guidance to clients and stakeholders.
• Lead and mentor team members and contribute to business development.
