Qualifications

• Student in a tertiary Building Surveying course or similar discipline.
• Some work experience in a professional environment preferred but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Engage with Council departments, authorities, and the public to resolve building-related queries and issues.
• Provide basic technical advice and timely correspondence on building matters to staff and the public.
• Support a cohesive Municipal Building Surveyor team to ensure consistent service delivery.
• Assist with finalising building permits and address complaints to ensure compliance with building standards.
• Maintain accurate Council records for building permits and associated contractual work.
