Job summary

Banyule City Council is seeking a skilled Building Maintenance Coordinator to lead a team responsible for a diverse portfolio of buildings and facilities. This senior role focuses on safety, compliance, risk management and excellent service delivery.

You will drive planned, preventative and reactive maintenance, oversee contractors and budgets, and provide clear operational leadership to ensure buildings remain safe, accessible and sustainable for the community.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Building Maintenance team to deliver scheduled and reactive maintenance safely and efficiently.
• Oversee building compliance, risks, contractors and budgets.
• Provide technical and operational advice and report on program performance.
• Plan and oversee maintenance across a complex building portfolio.
• Identify, manage and report on safety, compliance, financial and service risks.
• Procure and manage contractors and service providers for value and quality.
• Leverage asset data to improve planning and continuous improvement.
• Build relationships with internal teams, users, regulators and partners.
